Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Winter Conference?
All Saints holds a mini-conference every year where we bring in a guest speaker (often another pastor in the CREC denomination) to speak on a specific topic.  This year the theme is "Mercy Ministry."   This year, the conference will be a little different because we will meet at church instead of another venue, and we will have men and women together on Saturday morning, instead of separate sessions.

What is the conference actually about?
Pastor Rich Lusk will be speaking on the topic both Saturday morning and Sunday morning.  His session titles are as follows:
- Saturday Morning Sessions: Productivity as the Foundation of Charity, Politicizing Poverty: How NOT to Help the Poor
- Sunday Morning Sessions: (Sunday School) Real Religion: Showing Mercy to the Least of These, (Sermon) Go and Do Likewise: Mercy as the Heart of Law and Gospel

Is there childcare on Saturday morning?
Yes!  We are excited to be able to offer childcare for toddlers/preschoolers (upstairs in the yellow nursery room) and oversight for school age kids in the Sunday school room in the basement.  School age kids should feel free to bring games/books/etc to share with friends.  If you are bringing children to the conference, please plan to have them stay with child care workers in assigned rooms, or, older children are welcome to sit in on the conference, too.  There should be no unaccompanied minors roaming church or church grounds during the conference.

Is there continental breakfast Saturday morning?
Yes!  But sign up so that we can have enough food.

Who is this conference for?
Everyone.

Can I invite others?
Of course!  Just please direct them to our website to sign up: /winterconference
