Serve at a Food Drive
Serve the community by helping at an outreach or a food drive!
Here are a few ways we are reaching out in our community:
1) Community outreach in a city park! - Help grill burgers and hot dogs and look for opportunities to minister. Our last example of this involved serving with New City Church (PCA, Lancaster) and Pastor Stan Morton (Summer 2014).
2) Food Drive - Encourage your friends to come to the store and contribute! This involves giving up a couple of hours on a Saturday (contact us for the schedule) to attend a table at a local Grocery Store. Great for kids to come along and assist.
We courteously inform those on the way into the grocery store that, "We are gathering food the local pantry, if you would like to contribute you can pick up any of these items while shopping and bring them to this table on your way out."
The goal is to fill boxes of food for the Ephrata Area Social Services food pantry, which helps feed about 10,000 families in need every year. We will usually be starting at 9:00 a.m. and working it in 2 hour shifts of 4 people per shift( 9-11, 11-1, 1-3, then 3-5).
